Sweden

Sweden will reacquainted with their qualifying rivals Spain looking to emulate their early form which saw them defeat the Spaniards 2-0 at home, but looking to overcome their later problems which saw the Spanish get revenge with a 3-0 thumping in Spain. The Swedish will be pumped up following the recent announcement that a certain Henrik Larsson has been tempted out of international retirement to help bolster their attacking line.

The Euro 2008 championship marks Sweden's fifth successive qualification for a major tournament and with Larsson and Inter's Zlatan Ibrahimovic they have strikers that can put the ball in the back of the net in an instant. The rest of the squad contains many experienced international players, although the feeling might be that of all the teams in Group D the Swedes, ranked 23rd in the FIFA world standings might struggle to impress.
